Periods during the years after giving birth
I am 33 years old. My son is almost 4 years old now and I feel like ever since I gave birth my periods have been different (which is to be expected.) I am wondering if any of you have had a similar experience?
I’m not sure when but I noticed my periods were getting a bit easier for past couple of years. I’ve gone from Super tampons (then regular/lite,) to just using regular and lites 50/50. The past few months I have noticed my periods sort of changing though. A couple of times I suspected I was pregnant but did not turn out to be.
Right now, I’ve been feeling a few symptoms that could be pregnancy symptoms but could also be post-ovulation symptoms since the app says my period is in 10 days. My period has been known to come earlier than expected but I usually experience PMS 7 days before my period. This week I have been feeling them about 2 weeks, maybe 12 days, before my period.
Have any of you experienced a cycle like this after birth, around your early 30’s? Does your cycle change quite frequently? Is it normal to progressively feel your symptoms being more intense month after month, and then perhaps tapering down the years after?
I just remember my periods being really intense before birth (heavy cramps and bleeding,) then they tapered down after birth, and now the hormones/PMS seems to be increasing but the flow itself is perhaps decreasing?
