Mariano is my grandfather's name from Puerto Rico. I promised my dad that if my daughter ended up being a boy I'd name him Mariano but that's not happening now. I love the name though.

My boyfriend is Mexican and I'm white. I'm not so good at correctly pronouncing some Mexican names like Gerardo. I wanted something that didn't sound too white, and something I would still be able to pronounce. So far, we've decided on Eli - but im not sure if were gonna make it Elijah, Elias, or just Eli. Either way I don't think it sounds super white.
