Thoughts on Play-Doh for my 20month old son?

He likes outdoors a lot. Any toys don’t last for him. (Thanks amazon) LOL. He is an adventurer which is great. Winter is just around the corner and I would love to give him something to enjoy indoors. Any thoughts and suggestions? I’m seeing play-doh a lot.

Playdoh, kinetic sand, play kitchen stuff, Barbie’s, dinosaurs, trains, legos, water mat…. Are some of my daughters favorite indoor toys. 
I typically give her her toddler knives to practice chopping her playdoh. ￼Also cookie cutters. 
A kitchen play set is hands down the most used toy from all the kids (varying personalities) in my family.
