Husband job title ?

Hey ladies.. what does you guys husband/boyfriend do for work? My husband is 31 and is a cook at the longhorn resturant🥴🫠 hes able to pay the household bills but i have to contribute because he doesn’t make enough to pay it all own his own… just wondering what other women man does, I’m insecure about mine to be honest… he doesn’t seem interested in getting a degree or certification. He just has a high school diploma. He makes $18 and hour i make $18.45 not that I’m better or make more but damn at 31 I expect him to make more hell im only 26

Why shouldn’t you be contributing? And why are you acting like his job is any less because he works at a restaurant? Money is money. If he’s happy and his bills are paid that’s what matters. 
The fact that you’re embarrassed about this is gross. Why don’t you get a better paying job, move out and support yourself. Let him find someone who isn’t embarrassed by him.

My husband is a junkyard man. He has a college degree but cannot find work with it that would cover expenses. He makes enough to pay the bills at the junkyard if we are careful and that means i get to raise our 3 kids and be a SAHM. As long as your husband is willing to work, i see no reason to be ashamed. He is working a hard job (I've been a chef, its very exhausting) and doing his best. Be thankful that you have a man willing to do the hard job. Not everyone is cut out for higher education. And higher education doesn't mean a higher paying job.

My husband and I are both military and he is one rank above me, but he has more time in so he makes significantly more.
Real talk tho: why wouldn’t you contribute to bills? Girl, you make a whole .45 more than him… if he likes what he does and is contributing, does the title really matter? Ask him if he plans to work at longhorn forever or if he plans to move on to a better paying cook job or what he sees himself doing in X number of years. I wouldn’t be insecure about it, some ladies have husbands/boyfriends/spouses who refuse to work at all.

don’t want to work these days and sounds like things are getting paid for. My husband works as Lockheed Martin as a manufacturing engineer. Makes $41 an hr. He doesn’t have a degree in that. He has worked his way up.

My husband is a welder. His hourly is 118 overtime after 40 hours a week, which he surpasses by Thursday at lunch time lol . And he gets paid loa 210 a day tax free. We also own a business too. On a good month he makes around 30k. Bad month for him would be 15k. Our business is seperate and i make sure it keeps running lol.

There are a few things to unpack here..
Higher education doesn't necessarily equal more money. Some employers are willing to pay more for the same job / skillset. My husband is an IT engineer and his pay jumped by 3x when he decided to take on projects. He is now 42 though, so it took him a good 10 years of experience to get there. 
My point is, being a chef can be a lucrative job too, depending on the ambition of that person. But, not everyone has ambition to be at the top of their career and that's absolutely fine. People have different priorities and these priorities will also change throughout the stages of life.
Do you live together while he is struggling to pay his share, or does he live alone and struggle with his own bills? This is the only thing that would bug me.

This sounds a little judgmental on your part, like he should be supporting you or something. 
My husband earns like $34hr whilst I earn $51hr. I don’t think any less of my husband because of it and love that we both contribute to the household. 
I have a degree and he doesn’t but that also doesn’t make me feel less of him in any way. Degrees aren’t the be all and end all and a degree/qualification doesn’t necessarily guarantee you more money. 
If you think this way about him maybe you should leave because he may pick up on this resentment and he doesn’t deserve to feel like crap for trying to make a living
