First endoscopy tomorrow for chest pain when swallowing.

Tomorrow morning I have my first endoscopy because I have had pain in my chest (left side near my sternum) when swallowing solid food. This has been going on for 4 weeks now. It had gone away for 2 days and came right back with a vengeance.

They told me that they will not be sedating me, they will just use the throat the spray. To be honest, I am not scared for the procedure but rather more afraid of what they may find. I have not met anyone who has ever experienced this before, so I fell down the googling rabbit hole and completely terrified myself.

Has anyone else been through this? Any advice?
