Baby Wearing; which carrier?

I'm a FTM and I really want a baby carrier, one that I can use when she's a newborn AND bigger. I've heard Ergo carriers are good and I was looking at the Boba 4g. I just want something that's breathable too but I also don't want to spend a fortune. Any suggestions?

We have a Lillebaby complete, it's breathable mesh and I love it! Still carrying my 17 months old boy around. We'll be using our boba wrap when little baby sis is here, then use a Lillebaby too. I got it at buybuybaby 20% off. Under $100.

You can probably find a baby wearing group on Facebook in your area! The great thing is that they often have wraps and carriers for sale used.

Based on the research I've done, I'm getting a Solly Baby wrap and then will use an Ergo later on.

We have a moby wrap and ordering a lillebaby. The lillebaby is expensive but we plan to get our money's worth from it and it will lasting for years. We are getting the toki Doki print 😁

I'm thinking about getting a Lillebaby. They don't need an infant insert like the Ergos. I have heard from a few people that the Ergos get hot. I have also heard they are super comfy though.

I just ordered a boba and got it a couple days ago and I really like it...it's a little difficult to tie, but with practice I'll get the hang of it...and of course baby isn't here yet to put him in it and see, but I think it was worth the money :)

Do your research on different brands. Compare and find what you can afford. Most babies can't/shouldn't be in SSC (soft seat carrier - like Tula, Kinderpack, Ergo) until they reach a certain weight, usually around 2 months. They also don't have great support. For immediately after birth, I would highly suggest a Ring Sling. They run about $135 brand new from Tula (not sure about other brands) and can be used for quite awhile. I've seen people wear their 2 year old in a Ring Sling. 
However, I'm very pro Kinderpack and Tula for normal SSC. Both are comfortable. I like KP more only because you have more options for sizing and I love their prints. I have an ergo and it was very uncomfortable for me. I cannot wear my 3 year old in it - just not comfortable for either, although he still meets height and weight for it. But these two are wonderful for front and back carrying! 
I personally plan to borrow my sister's Ring Sling until this baby is big enough for our Infant Kinderpack. I'm obsessed with baby wearing and wish I would have pursued it more with our son and been more knowledgable at that point.

Ergos are great, however, my newborn hated it 😂 We did the moby wrap with her mostly till about 4 months, at which point she decided she liked the ergo. From then on I've used it exclusively because it hurts my back less. She's almost two now and I still occasionally will put her in it on my back if she's being fussy.

I had structured carriers for my firstborn and never felt like he was secure enough or happy enough in them. They also hurt my back. I heard good things about the k'tan because it's halfway between a moby wrap and a structured carrier, so I bought one of those for baby 2. Hoping it goes well...
