How do I give my 18 month old water?!?

Zaza

So I live in the UK, where our water is hard. I’ve noticed we get lots of limescale, so much so, the moment our dishes are dry feom washing them, limescale is left on our Joseph&Joseph wash rack dryer.

Furthermore, the place I’m at, is rented. So I don’t give water directly from the tap.

When my daughter was younger, I used to boil the water and then I used a Brita filter jug and passed the water through it.

I’m happy to do whatever is best for my baby, however this water was quite long, especially for someone with arthritis. It required planning and making she it was done ahead of time so it cooled down etc, and I wanted fresh water for her daily so I was doing this everyday.

Until

Larq. I saw it on shark tank, read review, watched YouTube and the Purevis jug appeared to be the thing I needed! Just pour directly from the tap into the filter and bacteria removing UV jug- no need to boil, no need to plan ahead. So I’ve been using this for a while and whenever we go out and I don’t have a clean bottle, I just take a bottle of mineral water eg highland springs, Buxton etc.

However, I’ve just read some Proposition65 warning that Larq have mentioned in their FAQ’s (something I seemed to have not read!) and it states that the material cause birth defects, cancer and other reproductive harm.

So… WHAT.The.Juice do I do?!? Stop using Larq obvs, but does that mean boiling water and using Brita is the way to go? Because I read bottled water also breeds germs and of course there’s the carbon and environmental aspect to factor in with bottled water

Looking to get a water softener but I believe you can’t drink from the tap if you have a water softener.

Thanks
