When did your EBF baby start sleeping through the night? (No sleep training)

My daughter is almost 13 months and has always woken up at least 2 times at night but usually closer to 4 times. Most of the time she wants to nurse, especially if she’s teething. It doesn’t bother me too bad because I’m happy to be able to hold and snuggle her, but I worry she isn’t getting the sleep she should be. Most of my friends had their baby sleeping through the night by 6-9 months so I’m just curious about other peoples experiences.

I have four, and the only child who *consistently* slept through the night before 18 months was my fourth, and I put that down to him being a thumbsucker. So when he wakes up, he self-soothes instead of looking for mommy. Heck, my other three are still worse sleepers than him to this day. Ages are 6.6, 5, 3, 18 months, and if one of them wakes up in the night, it usually isnt the baby. 🙄

I don't think you need to worry about baby getting enough sleep. She will later in the morning if she is tired, or take a longer nap

At about 8 months i started putting a bottle or cup of water (depending on what they were familiar with, but only water) in their bed with them. By 10 months they would still wake, but they would find their cup in their bed and get a drink and go back to sleep all on their own. Worked great for us with both kids. I recommend a mattress cover because the water has potential to leak or be spit out when spitting becomes a fun thing. Both kids were EBF babies.
