When will you return?

Question

My son will arrive around week 36 (due to my shot wearing off). Around that time frame I'll just be starting clinicals, if all goes well I plan on staying home for 2 1/2 weeks and then returning to finish my hours.. My stepfather will be watching my son at our home since my husband only gets 10 days of paternity leave. I already spoke with my doctor and she is okay with my choice as long as I feel ready by that time.

My question to other moms who have returned early to school or work early before what week did you decide to go back & how were you feeling physically?

If you never returned early but plan to do so with this pregnancy, what week are you planning on going back to ether work or school?

*I'm not looking for reasons as to why I should wait 6 weeks so please don't bring that up.*

Answer

I'm in a PhD program and can't miss a ton of class. I worked it out with my professors to be back after 2 weeks. Luckily I was able to arrange my schedule that it's 2 days a week of classes in the mornings. So my husband will watch Mondays since he doesn't work and my dad will do Thursdays. 
If our little guy comes on time, I would get three weeks of because spring break is in there too. 
However I am taking at least 6 weeks off from my actually experiments/lab work, since I'm in an oncology program.

It's doable! I have the at most faith that you can manage it!
