Having a really hard time eating enough
I’m 16 weeks + 1 day pregnant and I’m having a really hard time getting enough to eat. I’ve had severe nausea and vomiting since I found out i was pregnant. I’ve been basically bed ridden for my whole pregnancy and I hate it. Things briefly got better for a week or two but now they’re bad to being bad. I used to be really active before pregnancy and I get depressed being inside, doing nothing so I’m having a really hard time ☹️ I’m also having other negative symptoms that make it hard to do anything. Anyway, since I’ve been so sick, it’s hard for me to find anything that I can eat. I usually get about a quarter through a meal before I can’t eat anymore. I don’t know what to do. I’m allergic to wheat so it’s not like I can get Big Macs or something that have a lot of calories, just so I stop losing weight. I’ve lost almost 20 lbs. Baby is okay but I’m scared for them because I should be gaining right now and I know this isn’t normal. Does anyone have any advice on foods that are high calorie or anything else I could do? I’m desperate and hungry 😫😭 My OB did prescribe a medication that helps but I have to take a high dosage and it can also have bad side effects/too much can harm the baby so I take it sparingly. Nothing else helps. Peppermint tea helps me a little but I’m only supposed to have a cup a day and it’s not like it prevents me from throwing up. I’m really depressed and I don’t know what to do ☹️ Even just encouragement is welcome. Thank you so much!
