Is it worth it?

Hi everyone! Sorry if this isn’t related to this group, I wasnt sure where to post it. I recently graduated with a Business Administration degree and its been really difficult to find a job even with an internship under my belt. I’ve been looking into accelerated nursing programs but I’d have to go back to school to complete the prerequisites they require. The prerequisites alone will cost about $6k since it is 5 classes. Then the tuition for the program is $54k. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Im just looking for someone who has went this route and what they chose to do. For ex, save up or get a student loan. How fast were they able to pay off their loan. Job opportunities they had and etc.

Unfortunately no one tells students that even with a 4 year degree it will still be hard to find a job. Unpaid internships, and pray they hire you. Since so many are trying to get the same job. I’ve dealt 25 years with community college students. Like you end up stuck and do something polar opposite. Physical therapy program student who ended up being a realtor. I also do taxes so I see what everyone makes and what jobs they do. Best pay aside from doctor or lawyer is nurse starting in the 60k range nursing practitioner who can write prescriptions 115k her husband is state police he makes 105k. Detectives for the police 95k. There will always be crime, the sick, funeral services, taxes, education but you know the pay is low for that. Everything else changes. I have kids that graduated 4 year business like you that ended up working in insurance. You get whatever you can get. I wish you luck. You can work with an associates in nursing with 64k in the north east, but prefer 4 years within 10 years but remember credits expire for math and science. Another option is non college route they have places that you do nursing program but at institutes or other schools. Working with the elderly since all the baby boomers are retiring. Certified Nursing Assistance. A lot of people do. Visiting nurses. Like bayada. I wish you luck.

Business administration in a rather wide and vague area. Is there a particular track you’re looking to start in?  What kinds of jobs are you submitting your resume and information for?  Have you considered working with a recruiter?  
I wouldn’t say completely disregard the idea of continuing education but there may be other avenues to explore besides a path not related to your actual degree.
