My husband sister in law who is his older brothers wife messages my husband that she has packed him food to take work. We’ve been married for 3 months now and I’m just thinking wth she’s not his wife to be packing him food 🌝. He went to her house to drop stuff for his brother and apparently he didn’t even sit in the house yet she packed food for him.

I think it's weird she's making him food and then messaging him to come get it. If he was there, or she knew he was coming that's different but it doesn't seem like the case.

Might be a cultural thing? In some cultures it's customary to give out food whenever there is a visitor coming. 
In my mum's house it's considered rude not to offer food for visitors. And yes, to also pack food for people especially if they are coming over to help with something and then leaving. That's all I can think of.

If she randomly made him food for work, I'd say that's odd. But if she knew he was coming over to drop stuff off and she had food to give, I don't see the issue. Not too long ago, my BIL came over and before he left I gave him a bunch of snacks to take home for his family because I didn’t want them but I also didn’t want to waste them and figured he could just take them, and I had no ill intent or anything like that.

I dont see nothing wrong with it. Do you make him food for work? Then i would see it as a problem, if you already made him something and he picked it up, instead of him telling her "no im ok my wife made me lunch, thanks for looking out though" then yea i would be upset too.

Do you guys spend a lot of time together to where they have developed a friendship?  I spend a lot of time with my brother in law’s wife’s family so I would definitely feel friendly enough to do the same.
