Contractions all day

I've had contractions all day. The last 5 hours. I went to labor and delivery and I'm not dilating. They told me to come back when they get worse. I'm barely able to breath through them they're so painful. How much worse are they supposed to get before I go back? I'm crying I'm in so much pain. They're 2-4 minutes apart lasting a minute or longer. I'm bleeding now, but that could be from the check earlier. Does anyone have any advice? I'm fucking miserable sitting in a hot bath.
