Vacation with my family

At my job, we are very short staffed. Because of this, we aren’t allowed to take vacation days when someone else is. Only one person off at a time.

I have a week off coming up at the beginning of October. I’m going on vacation with my whole family.

I have. Coworker that has a family member is suppose to have a baby that same week. And she’s mad that I already took the week off.

She’s been making comments about how I’m off just to go to the beach, when she wants it off to be with her family at the hospital.

I feel terrible about if, but my family tells me that it’s not my problem and not my fault and I should be able to spend time with my family as well.

Any advice ?
