First period any advice??

always always always carry a pad or Thompson concealed in your bag you never know when you can get it and first starting off is the most irregular you can get little tins to put your pads in too hide them 😊

also: when you stand up, stand up slowly. getting up too fast will cause a huge gush of blood to gush out!

wear dark coloured pants! most girls choose to wear sweats but i personally like tighter pants, as they reduce my worrying of leaking!

make sure you always have a spare change of undies with you, as well as pants and pads! continue to carry pads with you until about a week after your period, just in case.

cramps at your age shouldn't be too bad. make sure you shower lots and drink lots of water!

in terms of pads, you will most likely only need the thin ones. make sure
you change your pad every 2-3 hours, depending on how much blood there is.

at night, either wear a pad made for nighttime, or if those are too big, what i used to do was put multiple pads in.

make sure you track it! on here, track when it starts and when it stops!

I know what it's like!!  I started right before winter break. Use heating pads. Take ibuprofen and lay down a lot. That helped me ease the pain. Good luck with it! 😘

also, start learning about other forms of protection. pads are my choice, but i've also been interested in menstrual cups. tampons are iffy for me, but it's good to know for yourself what you're comfortable with!

I'm not a huge fan of pads. Sneezing, coughing and even just standing up makes it pour out and feels like it's going to leak through 😖 Always keep spare pads/tampons on you! Especially since it's new, it will probably be irregular so you never know when it's going to sneak up on you. Invest in some "period panties." Might have some accidents and you don't wanna ruin the good ones. 
Midol is a miracle when it comes to cramps. 
Keep a spare pair of pants with you at school. I know I've had to tie a sweater around my waist before and it's embarrassing.

Designate some "period panties". Make sure you never wear your favorites on your period.
Also, make sure your period is over for sure before you stop wearing pads. The amount of blood in your pad will lessen and the blood may even bchange color or be brown towards the end.

Try not to sneeze a lot of your heavy load. And use pads before trying tampons and if you start on tampons use the small until you get comfortable with them. Always clean down there really good an try not to skip taking a shower because then you might start to stink.

Get a heating pad!! It will be your best friend. If you start at school, your school nurse should have supplies. I always used pads when I was your age and I still kind of prefer them now.
