What should I use to sanitize the nursery?

What should I use to sanitize the nursery? For example: dressar drawers, swings , crib, etc. I see Babyganics has￼ a toy and high chair cleaner but it doesn’t say it sanitizes it just says cleans. First time mom here and I’m wondering what everyone uses.

We don’t really use a sanitizer unless it’s warranted (I.e., got some poop smeared on the wood of his changing table). Otherwise we just wipe things down and dust regularly. Over cleaning and sanitizing has been shown to increase risk of allergens, asthma, and Crohn’s disease. I’ll sanitize my kitchen and bathrooms, but otherwise we don’t sanitize most other areas of our house.

Sanitation isn’t really necessary. Unless you’ve bought baby items/furniture secondhand or know that something has been contaminated by something that can harbor bacteria already, I wouldn’t worry about it. If you are still going to go that route though, then make sure to use unscented cleaning products, and maybe something more natural (like Seventh Generation for instance)

I never did with my kids and won't with this baby either. Fabrics get washed, all bottles go through the dishwasher with the sanitize cycle on, and that's about it.

Sal Suds is the only thing we use and we dilute it with warm water. We also use this as our homemade laundry detergent and all purpose cleaner.
