I personally like the Fisher Price Papasan swings. They're beautiful, have 3 positions for your baby to rock, are electric, and usually have lights as well as sound settings. My daughter loved watching the lights go around. They have boy and girl versions. I'm including a pic from Amazon

I have this one and it has lasted through my twins using it for their first 9 months and now my 3 month old has been using since she was born.

I have six children and with my first 3 we went through four graco swings. The motors don't hold up very well. I would say any swing you buy make sure it can plus in. You will go through a fortune in batteries. It's worth spending the extra few dollars at the beginning.
