If your child is in school, do you take them a bath everyday?

I seen this post in my moms group and it sparked a debate. Some said it’s not necessary. Why or why not?

Typically every other day unless they need one in between for being sweaty, dirty, whatever. Same as me. Ha!

Yes. Especially if they go to school. The only time they skip a bath is if they were at home indoors all day.

Nope! My 4 year old gets two baths a week unless she did anything extra messy or muddy that prompts for more.   
She washes her hands several times a day and her face every night.

Both my kids love baths/showers (4y and 10mo) and they’re part of our bedtime routine every night. We don’t use soap every day though. My 4 year old washes w/ soap every other day. I only use soap with my 10 month old twice a week unless she’s particularly dirty after dinner or from playing outside.

We are a pretty active family. We always do an activity after school like football (soccer), horse riding and swimming. Usually when my kids get home they are playing outside with the chickens and dogs. So bathing everyday is essential.

Yes, but only for the purpose of sticking to a routine. I think every other day is enough.

Depends what they've done that day and if they need it. If it's nice enough to be outside (not cold and raining or hot and smokey) then bath time because they play in the dirt. After ballet, bath time because she gets sweaty. If they just chill at home and do nothing much of anything, we can skip a night. I aim for every other night unless necessary. I'm the same way. Every other day. I have extremely sensitive skin and a lot of allergies. Daily washing is too much for me and will leave me broken out in a head to toe rash. So unless I touch something that causes a reaction (perfume, deodorant, soap, lotion, shampoo, body wash, body spray, sometimes even just if wildfires are going the air touching my skin, laundry detergent, dryer sheets. Products other people have used and then touch me after.), I bathe every other day.
