Anyone have a 1 year old that doesn’t like hugs/affection ?

My 22 month old does not like hugs or kisses! Sometimes I’ll try to rub her leg/back and she doesn’t like that either. She is very happy and smiley and friendly, but just doesn’t like to be touched much. She will let you read a book to her while she sits on my lap but that’s about it. I’m wondering if this is normal?!

My daughter goes through phases like this. 
It doesn’t sound concerning. Just keep asking and respect when she says no.

Yes. Some have a bigger need for touches, hugs etc. Others barely have a need. It can also fluctuate as time goes by. 
My oldest has never been a hugger, but now at four she wants hugs often and often wants to sit with me. She never wanted that as a toddler.

Its normal not every child likes to be overly affectionate.
