Baby food at 4 months ?

How old were your babies when they start the baby food? My baby is going to be 5 months in 15 days and I’m not sure to start him on baby food… Ideas??!

My first started just after 6m, my second just after 7m.
We waited until all signs of readiness were met and did BLW, so no purées or spoon feeding, straight to finger foods.
Some pediatricians still say 4m, but organizations like the AAP recommend waiting until at least 6m (for gut health) and all signs of readiness met (to lessen the risk of choking)

6 months is what is recommended and what most are going to tell you to do on here. I started mine just after 4m. It changed from 4m-6m in between my first and second child, so when my son was seen by the ped at his 6m visit and gave the ok to start food, I looked confused and told him I already had been and he told me it was okay and to continue on since they were handling it fine.
