PCOS. Anyone have it?

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Does anyone else on here have it? What kind of things help you manage the symptoms? What medications have you tried?

I do! I'd noticed when my period schedule was being super wonky (I hadn't gotten mine for 11 months!) so I went to my OB/GYN and got put on birth control. Aside from that, I've been taking some daily vitamins. These are usually just Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Calcium, Magnesium and Fish Oil. These vitamins also helped me out with the few obnoxious side effects of PCOS (skin tags, dark skin patches and abnormal hair growth). The other thing is more exercise and avoiding refined carbohydrates. Not only did this help the actual condition, it helped me lose quite a bit of weight, too!

I have it. im on metformin and sprintec. it helps with just about everything except for my MAJOR mood swings. that I have people I talk to about that

Hey! I've had this and suffer from it. I've tried a spirolactazone (I forget how to spell it) but that made me have periods non stop. I stopped that and started a regular birth control and it regulated my periods every month. Now I'm trying to get pregnant and having a really hard time due to the PCOS.

PCOS. Anyone have it?
