okay so this is going to be a long post but I am so exhausted and need to vent. Since 2021 my health has been a rocky ride. In march of 2021 I started experiencing frequent migraines,fatigue,nausea,dizziness,and outrageous stomach pains. I started consistently going to doctors and was in and out of the hospital and emergency room quite frequently. finally in ,22 they did a cat scan and saw a cyst on my right ovary that they decided to remove due to size, nothing cancerous or to be genuinely concerned abt just a quick outpatient surgery and i was fine. Two months later I got diagnosed with chronic migraines. I was prescribed zofran, a rescue medication which is rizatriptan, and a medication for pain that i can’t quite remember the name of. For about 6 months this all helped n my migraines were slowly decreasing as well. However we still never figured out what the stomach pain was so but Pepcid and zofran kinda helped with that along with a medication that I was put on for cramping by my obgyn. fast forward to now the pain started coming back slowly a while ago but on the 26th of this month i got the worst migraine I have ever had in my whole entire life. I was vomiting ran a fever and couldn’t keep my eyes open. I was also more exhausted then I had ever been before during a migraine I came home from an event early at around 2pm got home probably around 2:30 went to sleep at about 3 and would wake up on and off till midnight. I was falling asleep in the middle of sentences according to my girlfriend. It felt like the whole world was spinning and after midnight i couldn’t fall back asleep because i was vomiting all night instead I also ran a fever of 102.4.I finally went back to sleep and I had dinner plans with my in laws but cancelled due to the pain I was still in.I was out of my rescue meds but i did have my zofran and I took 3 advil (probably more then I’m supposed too but i was dying for some relief.) It didn’t touch it at all so I tried to sleep it off again. Fast forward to tuesday night I still am in pain and can’t find absolutely anything to stop it, I had made an appointment with my migraine specialist for the next day hoping that she would have answer for me. The pain was in my eyes and i couldn’t look around of open my eyes for any reason without being in pain. I went to my appointment on wednesday and they prescribed me the same medicine I was on before and we did a 5 hour iv infusion where they gave me steroids,zofran,magnesium,2 pain meds, and benadryl (best nap ever.) My pain has yet to stop tho after that appointment i’m still in pain. I’m taking all my medication as i’m supposed to and my migraine is still there along with excessive dizziness and fighting and a low grade fever. i’m at a lost for what to do right now and the last place I want to go is the emergency room. i’m in so much pain. has anyone gone through something similar? I dint exactly thing that chronic migraines is all that is happening here but am out of ideas. any advice,tips, or experiences help and if you actually read all this thank you 🫶🏼
