Need advice. Is it wrong ?

I logged into Verizon and looked at my husbands message log , because I just got a feeling. I've caught him talking to other women in the past but never had any actual proof he cheated. He's been messaging his ex wife quite a bit. Whenever I look at his phone the times of the messages doesn't match the ones on the log so he's obviously been deleting them. Whenever I ask him why he's talking to her he says it's about the kids then of course I respond with well why are you deleting them and he says because I'm Crazy and go through his phone. I may be crazy but I'm not about to act a fool over messages on his phone between him and his ex wife talking about his children and he knows it. I tend to freak out about her considering he already left me to get back with her once. They stayed together 9 months and when he was through there I was waiting to take him back. We're in a rough patch right now as it is ... I just don't know what to do.
