I went to the OB today after gathering some courage after a week, since I've been having really itchy episodes on my pubic area (there were rashes that kept on spreading--ob said it was folliculitis).

She gave me a papsmear and said results would be given some time next week. I saw her typing on thd computer and type Cervicovaginitis. She said the discharge was yellowish, and cervix was pinkish, and there was an abrasion. I asked her if it's something serious as STD and she said that it's not STD, but it wouldve been serious if I just let it be (thankfully I went today and got some prescriptions).

But she didnt explain further what cervicovaginitis is. Can somebody help me and explain? Thanks. I'm curious and a bit scared. :(
