Today I went to the doctor for a baby check, I am about 16 weeks pregnant with my second. My oldest is only 8 months. My doctor came in and saw my boyfriend with our daughter and says “i see this one isn’t that old so that means you didn’t use protection” and I told her no because obviously I didn’t. She then asks me were we trying and I told her no and that I didn’t mind them being this close in age. She told me “after we are done here we can talk about birth control and different types of protection so that you are more prepared

“. I didn’t like that comment at all. I know the risks of having babies so close, I know the risks of not using protection so for her to say that really irritated me. Then she listened to babies heartbeat and I obviously did not have a c-section scar, my pants were unbuttoned because they are too small so she could obviously see that and then pulled my underwear up and looked at my vagina and said “you had your first vaginally?” and I told her yes, for the second time since she asked earlier in the appointment and so did her nurse and so did my paperwork. It just made me really uncomfortable because my last OB let me know when she’d be going down there and also let me know my babies heartbeat and just made me overall comfortable, this doctor did not do that. She also scheduled me out for 4 weeks from today just for her to be booked up..so now I am just thinking about switching doctors at this point.
