Food safety inquiry
I’m so scared. I ate a literal BITE or two of Jacks Links jerky; it was a little more dry/crumbly so I looked at the date and it said “best by: April 2023.” I’m so severely petrified of getting food poisoning. The package was also not opened until today. Do you think it’ll be okay? Have you guys eaten jerky past the best by date (like 6 months past)
