Is my fwb doing too much?

My fwb saw me talking to a guy last time we were together. It was a guy I used to be friends with years ago and we reconnected. Based off a few short messages (it was him making a joke about how he thought I had a crush on him) he insisted that the guy was a loser trying to get a girl and how if he actually cared, we wouldn’t have lost contact, etc. Then today, he was like “who are you even talking to rn”, kept trying to look at my phone, and was accusing me of hiding my phone from him. Then was saying that he felt like I was talking to someone and he felt weird about it. Then started saying how he gets insecure because he doesn’t trust my opinion on men, even if it’s just friends. I also have called him out before on being controlling/jealous of *all* my friends and he said he’d stop and claims he decided that he doesn’t want to have to tell me who I should/shouldn’t be friends with. So I’m wondering if this is his way of subtly doing it again? I’m also confused because he told me he doesn’t want to be together and is okay with me moving on from him romantically but now I feel like he isn’t actually okay with it. He told me that because of this, he wants me to start telling him about all of my friends. Then started asking me what friend I spent the day with the other day and was asking a bunch of questions about some of my friends.
