Ever been hit in the stomach early in pregnancy?

I'm 5 weeks Prego and while playing soccer last night I got him in the stomach with the ball. I was able to tense in time so the only pain I felt was a red tummy, but I freaked out afterwards that I will miscarry or something. Anyone experience a similar situation before or have any advice? Much appreciated!

Glad you are ok..Please no more soccer! It can be a rough sport and your first trimester is a sensitive time in your pregnancy.

Only time I was hit real hard in the belly was when my toddler decided to fight me when changing her diaper and kicked me right in the belly around my belly button I believe I was between 25-30 wks at the time and omg worst pain ever it took me a good month before you could even brush a light touch over it with out pain ended up with a bad hernia there and when she kicked me it tore more of the hernia which made it worse.did nothing to the baby at all

Baby has enough layers protecting him or her as long as there's no blood I wouldn't worry call your doctor just to ease your mind once the office reopens

I asked my doctor about continuing to play volleyball and he told me that nothing is going to "rock the baby like intercourse would" so I'd be totally fine. When you're this early on that baby is tucked in there pretty good! I agree with most of the others that as long as you aren't experiencing intense cramping or bleeding you and that little nugget should be perfectly fine!

My mom prides herself with sliding on her stomach into home when 8 months pregnant with me. I wouldn't recommend trying it, but I'm here and somehow able to string together sentences still.

Only when you have severe pain and bleed, then you worry. Otherwise, your baby is still situated between your pelvic bones, so a hit to the stomach would not have harmed the baby whatsoever
