how do u shower when u have ur period?

do you have a tampon in when you shower? or do you just let it out so you don't have to waste anything? I hate using tampons so I know it's discusting but I just let it out tbh.

I don't put anything in. My periods are light though... I think it's best to let it come out and wash down there. I know it might not be pleasant sounding, but you definitely still need to wash when you're on your period. It can start smelling funky

My period stops when I have a shower it's really good but when I get out its a mad scramble and I don't ussually dry my butt or thighs just in case I get blood on it and ruin the towel. But a good tip I received is to put hold I piece of toilet paper on your vagina while you dry you thighs and butt off

My period was super heavy before I started taking birth control. I used to take my tampon out and just lay in the shower and let the water hit my vagina and wash anything out that may have been in there. Idk why it just made me feel a little cleaner that way. But now my periods are pretty light.

Don't shower with a tampon in! You dispose of any sanitary napkins or tampons and get in the shower like you would if you weren't.

I'm 15 and I've had my period since I was ten and I've never put a tampon in during tb shower. The water slows downs ur period and nearly stops so u don't need anything just when u get out hurry up and dry

I use nothing in the shower but put a tampon next to the tub. Clean everything and then at the end I put the tampon in before I get out after I shut the water off. Then i don't have to worry about blood down my leg or dripping on the white tile floor.

I shower with a tampon (put a new one in before my shower) simply because my period is so heavy that the moment I get out of the shower, I'm dripping blood (sorry if tmi) and I can't even use a towel. 
It's super messy and a pain in the ass to clean up. I usually wash down the with the tampon in. So far I've had no problems with sent or infections or anything. 
Your tampon shouldn't be right at the opening so you can still get a decent wash.
