How did you tell your first child about the second?

How did you tell your first child about your pregnancy? And, did you talk to him/her before TTC?

My son is almost 5 and I sat down with him and told him there was a baby in my tummy and told him he was going to be a big brother. The look on his face was priceless and he cant stop talking about it. He cant wait!

I wanted to tell him first.. hes almost four and is seriously my bestfriend.. but I knew how hed be so i had to tell everyone else first.. when we took our announcemnt picture, I got his face as we were telling him and taking the pic. Hes so excited and tells everybody we come in contact with. Lol "my mommy has a baby in her tummy" hes all the time kissing and talking to it.. so perfect :)

i didn't want to tell my 6 yr old daughter until I was further along (im only 4 weeks) but I went to the doctors to confirm pregnancy and when I came home she was "asleep" (or so I thought) and my friend who was taking care of her asked so are you pregnant? and im like YEA!! and my daughter who was supposedly sleeping on the sofa sits up fast as lightning and yelled "WHAT?!? ?" so yea that how she found out ?? and she's not happy at all by the way! (she's was a very spoiled baby) and  he knows she has to share the attention now

Our son was about 16 months when we got pregnant again and after we found out, we sat him down and pointed to my tummy and told him there was a baby in Mommy's tummy and he was going to be a big brother.
