Why so many tests?

I took one test 3 weeks ago and that is plenty enough for me to know I'm pregnant  (along with my symptoms). Someone please explain why on earth  some of y'all take so many tests???

I took 6. My first 2 were faint but you can see them. I grabbed a couple more of different brands to double check if it was a true positive or a false positive and me and my boyfriend couldn't really believe that it was happening so I also got a digital week estimator. Im 5w 4d today & my first appointment is this Thursday.

Well that's good for you but other people are anxious and want reassurance. Why does it bother you?

Shock... Simple answer.. Wasn't sinking in we were finally pregnant and there's something so reassuring seeing that positive.

Each to their own... Good for you one was enough but it wasn't enough for me!

It's reassuring and mainly they don't think it's real. Especially if the have a history of past chemical pregnancies, miscarriages or have had a very hard time getting pregnant.

We took 6 our first pregnancy because it was a dream come true I couldn't believe it. Which ended in miscarriage October 8th. I am pregnant again and took 5 this time. A couple other reasons. The darker the lines the higher your hormone is. It is one way we can watch our pregnancy so early before seeing a dr.

I took couple tests because my first positive test was super faint,  so I took more just to make sure that my hcg is doubling and see that line to get darker. And for my scrapbook I got a digital to get that "pregnant " reading for a photo.

To watch line progression. 
I found out the hard way though that around 6 weeks your line starts to lighten up. Once your urine hcg hits a certain level the tests stop reading dark.

I miscarriage 10/2014 took a year to get pregnant again and only after I had surgery. So the reason I took a test a day for two weeks was so I could calm my nerves. That was my way of dealing with it. Now I'm 7weeks5days I don't test anymore.

Why so many tests?
