Progesterone for preterm labor?

Has anyone been put on progesterone for preterm labor with their first baby? I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks with my first and was on bed rest until I had her at 36 weeks. We are trying to conceive again and I'm terrified of being on bed rest with a toddler!

Hi, I can’t tell if this post is from this month or January in a previous year so apologies if this is a very late response 😂 
I had my first baby at 32 weeks after lots and lots of braxton hicks for a long time, my waters broke and I went into Labour. Because of this, in my second pregnancy I was monitored regularly, having cervical scans, swabs etc. at 22 weeks my cervical scan showed my cervix was very quickly shortening from the last scan and they were expecting me to go into Labour at what could have been any moment. I was on bed rest in hospital for 1 week and they immediately started me on progesterone pessaries. After 1 week, and a cervical scan that showed my cervical length had stabilised (not improved, but had stopped getting shorter) they sent me home with regular follow up scans. I continued the progesterone until my baby was born healthy at 34+6. My braxton hicks contractions never subsided and worsened up until my waters broke. Hope this helps
