Breakthrough bleeding 🩸

I have been on the same bc pill for 6 years. In July I forgot to take a pill and took it 10 hours late.

I started to bleed on a random day and I have been bleeding ever since. So almost 3 months.

I had a dr appt a few weeks ago and she said to give it another month and if it doesn’t stop, she can prescribe me another pill to try.

I like the pill I’m on but I want to stop bleeding. I always have to have pads/tampons on me. It’s messing up my sex life with my boyfriend. I just went on vacation and it sucked bleeding on my vacation.

Does anyone know what I can do about this?? Or will I just have to try another form on birth control??
