Husband and mil ignoring my snack concern

Both my husband and my mil have been giving my 3yo popcorn. I’ve told them countless times I don’t want her eating popcorn as it’s a choking hazard for her age and she tends to not sit still when eating which poses a bigger risk for choking. My husband tells me we all choke on popcorn ? Like what ? That means we should be putting our daughter’s health at risk all bc YOU don’t want to find an alternative snack?? My mil says she begs her and she feels bad so she haves and gives her some. I’m frustrated that they won’t listen especially to experts who say popcorn is not safe for 3 and under.

@Jane I don’t buy it, my husband will 😣 and unfortunately we cannot afford for me to lose out on days of work. My mil watches my daughter 2 of the 4 days I work. I don’t have any other childcare options for the days she takes care of her 😔

@Taylor I’ve tried! Pirate booty was a favorite snack for us before! But then my mil introduced popcorn and ever since she’s been hooked 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ll even pack it in her bag when I drop her off and let her know I put it in as replacement. Pick her up to the bag untouched and my daughter telling me gma gave her popcorn 😒 then my mil laughs it off and told her it was supposed to be a secret.

@Mommaof4 I should’ve added that popcorn is not only a choking hazard but also a danger if aspirated. I’ve seen many children who’ve accidentally aspirated popcorn, get infections in their lungs. Some have even died from it. I don’t want to risk it honestly.
