How do you ask your boyfriend to pay for your nails/hair if he does?

I’ve seen women say that their boyfriend pays for their nails, hair, etc. Now for those who relate, do you ask? Or how does he end up sending you money like that? I have a boyfriend and I’ve never asked anything of him to pay for me, but I’m just curious as to how women have their partners send them money or how that even leads up.

You don’t ask. Why should a man pay for hair and nails? If it’s offered that’s on them if they want to pay for stuff like that but you definitely shouldn’t be asking for it.

Nope, he offered once as I wasn’t working and he wanted to do something nice. I pay for my own hair and nails

When i moved to be closer to him.. we didn't move in together straight away.. i never asked for money but he asked me if i was short for money and i accepted when i was struggling.. it would go towards food.. pay abit towards rent.. when we moved in and was married.. he would often just give me cash for my hair and say go treat urself.

I’ve been with my 3 partners for 14 years. I would never ever ask them to pay for those things. I have a job and can easily afford my nails, hair, makeup, clothes, etc. It isn’t anyone else’s responsibility to pay for your wants.

My ex offered early on. That was our dynamic though. I never asked. Once we got married and I became a SAHM we had joint accounts already so I’d just go and do it I didn’t have to ask although I’d tell him I was going. Now I’m in a new relationship and that is not our dynamic.
