Does anyone have a bit of mold in the rubber gasket of your washing machine?

If so, could you tell me in the comments if it is safe to wash baby clothes in there if there’s a bit of mold?

You can get the washing machine cleaner that can be used in drum and to clean seal area. 
Optionally bleach or vinegar and bicarbonate if you don’t like chemicals. 
Make sure after a wash you wipe it down and leave door open to dry

Get a new rubber seal, also keep door open after using that’s what makes mold build up. Peroxide kills mold without spreading mold spores, so I’d clean it with that so you can do laundry for right now.

My mom use to douse the inside rubber area with bleach and hot water, soak a towel in it, wrap it around the inside and let it sit for a couple of hours before rinsing it. If there was still some stuck on, she would run a cycle or two with the same mixture on the hottest setting. If she didnt have bleach on hand, vinegar would be used. Although bleach seemed to work the best. Shes usually do this monthly to avoid any build-up. Mold can be pretty dangerous to babies, especially since their immune systems arent as strong as ours.Hope this helps!
