Should I tell him I matched with his friend?

I’ve been seeing this guy for a couple months and it seems like things might get serious with us soon. But I’m wondering if I should tell him about how I matched with his friend on bumble before we met.

So his friend and I matched and we talked for like 3 weeks, texting only, before he ghosted me lol. So we never met. The thing is, he tried having “intimate” conversations several times, and although it never went far, we did talk about some intimate things. After that ended, me and my current guy matched.

He and the guy are friends. Like, they’ve been on a trip together recently. But I’m pretty sure they didn’t talk about me.

My current guy knows that I know his friend, because I told him, and he even asked me how I know him. I just told him that I don’t “know him know him” more like I know OF him.

But I’m starting to think I should tell him the truth. I’m scared his friend will see us one day and tell him btw your girl and I matched and blah blah blah. I rather he hear it from me. What do you guys think? Is it unnecessary or not?

I think if the roles were reversed, I would want him to tell me, honestly.
