Electric pump vs haakaa?

So I got tired of using my electric pump today, so I used my Haakaa instead. I got the same amount of milk I would’ve gotten with my electric. Is that normal? I am not an oversupplier. I get 1-2oz of it every session (pumping both sides).

Haaka is not a pump and should not be used as such. It only catches the let down and a little there after. It should only be used when nursing baby also. Not in replace of a pump session.

It can be! If you’re consistently nursing baby on the other side and able to passively catch large volumes with the Haakaa, I would personally forego the electric pump! For me, I still need the electric pump for when baby isn’t nursing, at work, etc.
