Ex Boyfriend From My Previous Life

I should probably just forget about it, but every time I remember, it drives me nuts. Here goes: before I got married 5 years ago, I was dating/living with a guy 12 years older than me. We were together for 3 years and his Facebook is full of photos of us. I mean they are still there: us together kissing, me in a bikini at the beach, us celebrating Christmas etc. When we decided to go separate ways and shortly after I met my husband, I deleted all those pictures off my FB (I think it's just a respectful thing to do). He still hasn't. And his profile is public... I asked him a couple of times to take them off, but he says he won't... I don't understand. What's the point? Is there any other approach to convince him to delete or at least hide those photos?
