Tips on helping a 1 year old poop after switching to whole milk?

My son went thru the same thing. He was constipated for 3 weeks. I gave him a high fiber diet and lots of water but nothing worked. I literally tried everything. The pediatrician basically said he would get better alone. But he was always in so much pain. His gastroenterologist recommended 5-6 oz of pear or prune juice everyday and 1tsp of Miralax mixed in his morning bottle until he has normal bowel movements and it has done wonders. Now he has 2-3 normal bowel movements a day 🤗
