first appointment scheduled for 10/27, I’ll be 8 weeks. Normal?

Hey! My doctor scheduled me for my first appointment at around 8 weeks for blood test and general info and then we schedule the ultrasound i’m assuming in the following weeks. So i probably won’t get an ultrasound till 9-12 weeks depending on when they can schedule me 😩 When is your first appointment? & First ultrasound? I can wait, I just wish it was sooner!!!

If it makes you feel better I've had mc in the past where I was told to get into my obgyn as soon as I find out I'm pregnant so I can get medication for my uterine lining and my family doctor (who confirmed pregnancy) scheduled my first visit for november 13 when I'm 12 weeks and I was like uhm what.. but luckily I was able to get in with another obgyn tomorrow morning to get my scans and bloodwork done. If you feel like you need to get seen earlier call around and scheule somehwere else if you have to! My first pregnancy most likely couldve been successful had I gotten checked earlier than 8-10 weeks. 13 weeks tho seem cruel 🤣

Most doc will do the ultrasound at 8 weeks

My doctor doesn’t see you till between 10-12 weeks. Tho I utilize the free clinic for an ultrasound around 7-8 weeks

Lol, like everyone else here... SAME! Wish it were sooner. But thankful for the appointment! At least I can count down the days -- I like it better than the two week wait for a pregnancy test ❤️

My ultrasound and first OB appointment are the same week at the end of October and I’ll be 8/9 weeks. I also thought that was a really long time 😅 but asked friends and family who recently had babies and they said it’s normal and that is when a heartbeat can start being heard
