38 weeks and cramps in upper thigh

Has anyone experienced cramps that are right in between upper thigh and your privates? I’ve tried to google it but it doesn’t feel like baby sitting on a nerve.. but maybe it is. I’ve never had it with my other 2 pregnancies. It’s a little painful but mostly just really uncomfortable and doesn’t seem to last long, but happens more frequently. I’m wondering if it could mean labor is close, or if it really is just muscle spasms. I’ve had no symptoms of labor being near so I’m hoping this is a sign
