Was he wrong in giving his ill daughter cannabis oil? What would you have done? [read article]

An Australian father gave his suffering daughter cannabis oil. Should he be allowed to see her?

Was he wrong in doing what was best for his daughter? Nope. Cannabis oil has been used as treatment for many illness and proven how beneficial it is. I would do the same for my child.

These messed up. He was just try to help his daughter. Besides cannabis oil has been proven to have beneficial effects especially for the chronically ill. It's not like he was/ it will kill her.

I can't say for certain if this was the case here, but in all of the things I've seen in the past with giving kids cannabis oil is that it is very, very low in THC, which gets you high, and is high in CBD, which has healing properties. So please don't think that this guy is just getting his daughter high, as that was likely NOT the case.
I've watched various things on it and the results can be really amazing for these kids. If it was helping her it's just heartbreaking that his daughter was taken from him.

I have a student with a seizure disorder. Cannibus oil has changed his life. His seizures reduced dramatically and he was participate in his senior year and graduate with his peers.  I'm all for medical marijuana if it helps people.

Think of it this way.  If it was your kid who was terminally ill will you do anything you can think of to help them.... Cause that's all this man cared about was doing whatever it took to save his kid

Not at all. Cannabis oil should be legal everywhere for medical use. It's medicinal properties are scientifically undeniable. The only reason that here in the US, it isn't legal under federal law is because BIG PHARMA can't patent it to make money because it's a naturally occurring substance. He did nothing wrong. I would have done the same.

He did NOTHING wrong. I can't imagine watching your kid in pain all the time. And cannabis oil made her feel better and helped. I doubt he was giving her stuff that would get her high. And they want to keep a dad away from a daughter who has a 50% chance of dying.

Even if what he did was wrong, that is 10x more inhumane. Keeping a non-dangerous non-violent "criminal" away from a daughter to have her pass... that's inhumane to me.

If it was to get her high for shots and giggles obviously no.

But cannibus oil has been used for medical purposes world wide. It helps children with epilepsy. So their little livers don't get flooded with toxins. If it's for medicinal purposes he should be able to see his kid
