Pregnant NOT during ovulation?

Just a curious question, please don’t attack me… has anyone ever gotten pregnant NOT during their suspected ovulation? I’m just curious because Glow says that the likelihood is “low”… does that mean it can still happen? I would love to hear a story of this happening! 😆

It happens simply because Glow is a guess as to when you ovulate. It can say you’re ovulating one day, and you definitely can be ovulating a different day if you aren’t actively tracking ovulation.

Glow isn’t accurate. It’s just guessing based on how long your cycles typically are. It told me I ovulated 7 days ago when based on actual other measurements I ovulate today. So yes, you can get pregnant at a time that is outside when Glow says you can. However, you can only get pregnant near when you ovulate. If you’re trying to get pregnant, you need to track your ovulation with other methods like opks, an inito/Mira, etc. If you’re trying NOT to get pregnant, you’d need to really really understand your cycle for a long time before using timing as a form of birth control. In either case, I’d recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility to help you understand your cycles and when pregnancy is possible

Your body must be approaching ovulation to conceive a pregnancy because ovulation is necessary for an egg to be released to be fertilized by sperm.
However, if you’re just going by the app (which only guesses when your ovulation will occur), you can absolutely still get pregnant when it says “low” chance.

I guess to clarify… I meant even if you’re tracking ovulation. I was just wondering if it’s actually possible to get pregnant during a “low chance”/no LH surge day. If that makes sense. I get the science behind ovulation… I just hear so many people who AcCiDeNtAlLy get pregnant (not me 😆) and wondered how that happens if you understand the science behind ovulation.
