Did I opt in for CVS too quickly?

I’m a FTM, 37yo. I got my blood drawn for the NIPT but also was opting in for the CVS scan as I’m a bit older and had trouble getting pregnant for a few years. It seemed like something my dr didn’t think negatively about and let me know to schedule asap since I’m 11weeks. When asking others, noticed no one else got it done. Dr. said only .2% chance of miscarriage with it. Was age not reason enough to do this test? Unsure now…

I was 37 with my first and my MFM at the time didn't suggest I needed it unless the NIPT results showed concerns. For the second pregnancy, my new doctor said I could get it due to my age but didn't push for it. I decided not to once again, unless NIPT shows something.

In the UK we only have it if the NIPT comes back high risk. Age increases the risk but we wouldn’t have it done unless the NIPT indicated us to

They generally do nucheal trans scan and measure the fluid if they see it's above average than go for CVS.
