My son is 9 days old and we’ve been having a few issues with breastfeeding. Specifically with latching and staying awake. He’ll be mouth wide open ready to eat but he’ll throw his head back in the opposite direction and push away. We both get so frustrated I just accept a bad latch just to get him on the boob and I’m pretty tore up because of it. Also, while he’s on the boob he never fully empties it and he ends up never being satisfied at the end of the feed because he can’t stay awake.

Does anyone have any tips to help??
