Pregnancy after miscarriage???

Okay so I just had a miscarriage August 12th and finished bleeding August 20th this was an early loss at probably 6 weeks, we never made it to the ultrasound as I miscarried the week I was supposed to have the ultrasound. After my miscarriage about a week after I stopped bleeding the doctors office told me to take a test at home to make sure it was negative so I wasn’t retaining any of the pregnancy and at that time it was negative. Me and my husband have continued to have unprotected sex as we have been trying for our 3rd baby for the past 2 years. Today, October 7th, I decided to take a test, literally in the store after I bought it cuz I just felt like I should cuz I hadn’t had a period since the miscarriage. To my surprise this looks like a positive to me and I’m honestly not sure what to think as I am scared this could end in another miscarriage for me but I also don’t know what the possibility of being pregnant this soon after a miscarriage is. Is this really possible so soon after my loss and without me having a period after the miscarriage? I am having so many conflicting emotions and thoughts right now but I really don’t want to get too excited yet due to my recent loss and my worry of this ending that same way.
