My mom had both me and my brother at home. 
My brother had the cord stuck around his neck, they solved it all perfectly right there and then.

I'd even say it's safer than in hospitals. The midwives specialize in births, spending years studying just that; whereas doctors don't. It's just one of the many many things they can do.

My mom says birth was actually enjoyable because you're in the comfort of your own home. Your smells, not hospital smell and everything is farmiliar. Plus it comforted her knowing her kids would be brought into the world in their home, somewhere she hoped we could seek comfort and security in.

If you're pregnancy is considered 'low risk' and you have a trained midwife and are willing to go to the hospital if anything goes wrong, it's your choice 😊
