My beautiful baby girl

Brittany
At 37 weeks, I asked my dr how long I should continue working. She suggested working up to 39 weeks so to make an easier labor and delivery. I did as she advised (despite my exhaustion) and worked until 12/4/15 (I was 39 weeks on 12/6, but I work at a Monday-Friday job). After a couple trips to labor and delivery and being tested for preeclampsia because my blood pressure had some haywire moments, I went to my 39 week check-up on 12/7. I was informed that my blood pressure was a bit high again and for the sake of my health and my baby's health, I was advised to induce. We scheduled me to be induced a short 2 days later (12/9/15). Arrived at the hospital just before 7am and after paperwork was given pitocin at 8am. Water was broken at about 1pm. I refused drugs til 6, but after not making progress because I started to tense up with each contraction I was given a pain killer in my IV. I was given an epidural at 11:30pm and within a 1/2 hour of them putting the cathedral in (because they took forever to get to that for some reason), I felt the need to push. 1/2 hour of pushing, she made her entrance into the world at 1:33am on 12/10/15. A few things I will always remember about delivery are being told that she has a full head of hair mid-delivery, her having hiccups mid-delivery, and my first question being "it's a girl, right?" (Because my sister-in-law asked me what I would do if she turned out to be a he and I became very worried because I owned very girly clothes and we hadn't discussed circumcision)
