It depends on each person and how they respond to the birth control, for me the pill is better because then i can control my periods too but there have been a few times that i've taken a pill late or not at all so sometimes a second birth control method is needed

I use the shot as I'm terrible about remembering to take a pill every day at the same time. I love it because I only have to get it every three months and then I'm completely protected. It's great for me.
